High schoolers who were preparing for senior activities are realizing that their walk across the stage with their family cheering in the audience, probably won't happen either.

For some, hearing Richard Corcoran, Comissioner of Education, announce that "all remaining assessments for the 2019-2020 school year have been cancelled" must have been a relief. Although, we know that everyone will be promoted and graduate "as though those assessments which were cancelled did not exist", we must not become careless.
